Fish curry

You have already read and cooked fish curry bihari way,if you have been here realier. Though my friends love to eat when I cook fish, I still think it taste best when my mummy cooks it. So this time around  when she made, I thought of bringing you fish curry with step by step pics.. Since I was nt cooking, taking pics at each step was fun. Also this is my first post via mobile.

Ingredients: fish (gayincha/pattya)- 1.5 kg, mustard oil-200gm, panchforan- 1 tbspn, tomato-2 medium-chopped, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, garlic bulbs- 6-7, yellow mustard seeds- 80gm onion- 2 medium,

Clean the fish with help of raakh- ashes from firewood. Make a cut mid way in each fish.
Now wash the fish with running water. Add salt to it. Rub a little and wash again.
Grind the garlic cloves, onion and mustard seeds in a fine paste. Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
Heat a kadai. Add oil to it. Now sprinkle a little turmeric powder on fish and mix it properly.  Now deep fry the fish pieces.

Add a little oil to the same kadai,if required. Add panchforan. Add the paste. Saute it on medium flame for another 8-10 mnts.
Add salt. Add chopped tomatoes. Saute( bhuno in Hindi) for another 5 mnts. Add water. Once it starts boiling, add fish to it.
Cook for another 7-8 mnts.
Serve it with plain white rice.
